Days 34, 35, um a lot
So we hung out in Vegas for two days
I love that place
And I’m probably biased due to the money I win everytime I’m there
But I think I’d still enjoy it regardless
We set out for Albuquerque and spent the night at a rest stop halfway
There were signs saying “CAUTION: poisonous snakes and insects inhabit the area”
Murph and Clayton slept outside
They’re still alive
Albuquerque was great
We stayed at my aunt’s and we ate netter those two days than we had all tour
The show was pretty darn good too
Mewithoutyou and another band I should remember the name of played that night at the launchpad, so we did really well considering
We also got hook ups to play launchpad next time we’re in town
Amarillo was the next day
We arrived at the most shady looking place we’ve seen yet
Everyone was debating splitting right then and there but I convinced them otherwise
I helped clean the place up from the night before, we loaded on stage, and besides being hot and sticky, we played a great show to quite a few kids
Definitely all glad we stayed
After the show we started the 12 hour drive home
Straight through
We’re hardened road warriors
We got to take a few days off before opening up for Carolina Liar at the amphitheater downtown
It was fantastic
Besides almost having a heat stroke and passing out on stage, the crowd was at least 1,000 strong and everyone had a great time
The Carolina Liar guys were nice and Clayton and I got to chat with the singer for awhile about life on the road in a van with lots of sweaty guys
We’ve been meeting daily to get together a bunch of stuff online and keep that presence alive
It’s great talking to people and getting positive feedback so much
We’re keeping keeping on
