Day 23
Waking up in a warm hotel is always preferable to the van
We packed up and clayton and I stayed behind to help clean up our party mess
Luke called after he got to the van to inform us of parking tickets for the van
$35 for each space
We were taking up four
Fortunately before we had the chance to call the ticket company and raise hell luke let us know he was joking
I wasn’t so much when I said I wanted to punch him in the schnoz
We walked to an outdoor street mall in downtown Denver and wasted a few hours checking things out there
Greenpeace boys littered the streets asking every passerby if they loved the environment
I let them know our new cd is completely green and that was enough to suffice high fives and being let past
Until the very last guy
Sarah and I stopped to hear his spiel
Bad choice
After a half hour of asking us to join the cause with monthly fees (donations) and me expressing the whole of my fortune lie in the 86 cents in my pocket, I finally had to state “I don’t want to be rude and just walk away, but you’re not giving me a choice. Know we’re on your side and doing what we can with the means we have”
Looking terribly dissapointed, he shook our hands and let us leave
We wished safe travels to Ashley and Sarah and hit the road ourselves
Colorado Springs was a short little drive with some gorgeous mountain scenery
We unloaded at the venue and got set up before heading over to sonic to take advantage of free root beer float night!
With plenty of time left to kill before our 10 ‘o clock showtime, we played lotsss of pinball ad pool
The show sounded great even though it was to another very small audience
We packed things up and swung by sonic again before we hit the road
The were out of root beer but obliged to free any other soda floats
I decided to try a sprite float
My advice to you is don’t
Time to make way to salt lake city for a romping goodtime with our friends mason jones of mason jones and the get togethers
